The company has transitioned their bar shea butter to 16.0 Ounces from 14.5 Ounces to accommodate customer preference. The bag was also changed to a gold color which they say symbolizes that their premium shea butter is imported from the West African Country of Ghana, which is also known as the "Gold Coast Of Africa!"
Jana Cobb, the company's Co-Founder & President says that existing customers will be happy to know that the new packaging still includes the double zip bag and the UV protection that they have been known for within the Shea Butter Lover Community. She says that the "UV liner protects their shea butter from harmful UV light that can rob the shea butter of its nutrients." She emphasized that the shea butter bar itself is still being placed inside a side opening inner zip-lock bag for ease of use because customers have reported loving this feature.

The new JAR option is described by Cobb as an "Extra Tall Dark Amber Jar."
