(EMAILWIRE.COM, June 29, 2013 ) Titusville, FL -- A google study, called the Women & Web Study released on Thursday, reveals that a large demographic area of India uses the internet, and more than 60 million of them are women between the ages of 15 and 34, and are more likely than any other demographic area to order skin care products online.
The study is an attempt at trying to figure out usage patterns and influence on purchases by women internet users. The study was done by compiling search query data for top womenoriented websites around the world.
Rajan Anandan, Indias vice president and managing director said the research was groundbreaking because it is heartening to see women open up on the internet and find empowerment on the internet in day to day life.
Email, search and social networking are the most common places on the internet Indian women go, and use those to find out information about products and make purchasing decisions. Downloading music was also popular among younger women and almost 80 percent say they help make purchasing decisions for other women by giving reviews and share what kind of things they have bought online.
Women also account for almost half of all Youtube traffic in India. Most usually, they are watching clips of older shows, fashion channels and makeup channels, learning new looks and popular styles.
