(EMAILWIRE.COM, August 28, 2014 ) Brooklin, NY -- This past Friday, Guanaco Shoes revealed their much-anticipated social cause design, and it seems to be exactly what is needed today in a world of willingness to do good. The design involves a ground-up approach to social do-gooding, in which anyone from anywhere can be a part of the direction in which the company efforts go, and ultimately voting to decide. It is called "Project Guanaco."

Their website explains that "Beyond making amazing shoes, every year, based on your ideas, inspirations and decisions, we will come together and set off on a new mission to help make a difference somewhere in the world, somewhere that could really, really use it." The goal appears to bring people together, so projects can gain exposure and popularity, and chosen by the public, whether environmental or social. Even those which may not make it through the voting process, have opportunities through exposure to connect with other organizations.

On their website, one will find a section dedicated to Project Guanaco. Here, project ideas can be submitted. A selection of projects will be displayed to the public on a monthly basis, which include a video and a description. At the end of the season, based on the feedback and votes from the public, a number of the projects will be realized by the Guanaco team, working closely with the project leaders and connecting all of those who are seeking to get involved.

In an interview with Guanaco's founder Max Cornet, he explains that "Guanaco is all about our community. Things change every year around the world, and so should our efforts." Max is a very positive yet humble individual who has been battling Multiple Sclerosis for a number of years. He explains that this has been his main driver for doing good things for others. This, along with his love for community and some truly fantastic shoe designs, has been the backbone of the company's success to date.

In this socially-conscious generation, it seems only fitting to organize a ground-up design. Companies seem to all have a social-cause aspect these days, but none of which entirely governed by the public. Even those who have achieved success with their social efforts have been criticized as to how effective their efforts really are. Toms, for example, and their one-for-one fashion set up, offer to donate a pair of shoes for every pair purchased. Their design has been questionable in practice as it controversially only ‘puts a band-aid on a bigger issue'. Simply donating shoes does nothing to help alleviate a poverty situation which is responsible for the shoelessness in the first place, not to mention the opportunity to create jobs is missed, and local cobblers are pushed out of business. Guanaco, with the help from their community, aim to "create innovative and sustainable solutions" for all of their efforts, which apparently has no limits.

Guanaco is set to debut on Kickstarter this coming Monday, August 25th 2014. Guanaco's The public seems to be very excited as there have been an outpouring of positive reactions to Guanaco's teasers thus far.
