(EMAILWIRE.COM, August 15, 2014 ) Beverly Hills, Los Angeles -- 5 months ago, New Zealand couple Kris and Tiffany Paul were out on their daily walk, when Kris's iPhone 5 armband strap broke. It was the 3rd one to break in as many months, and as Kris complained to his wife about this, she gave him the suggestion that would change the course of their lives. She suggested that he make his own iPhone 5 armband for running. That comment put the wheels in motion, and since they were in China at that time, Kris immediately set about looking for a supplier to partner with.
A month into their search, after having talked to many suppliers, and visited countless factories, they were returning to the factory they had selected when Kris noticed the logo of a world famous wetsuit company on the building next door. As fate would would have it, this company had been looking at ways to reduce their waste, and since their neoprene was AAA+ certified quality, Kris saw an opportunity. After a meeting back in the states, the deal was done and Great Case company was now using the worlds best neoprene from that wetsuit supplier.
"It was just an awesome stroke of luck," says Kris Paul, CEO of Great Case, "I could not have sourced a higher quality of neoprene if I had tried, and it basically just fell into my hands."
Although their non-disclosure agreement prevents Kris from naming the company, Kris says "they have ben making wetsuits for nearly 100 years."
Now after finishing their design, for their introductory silver iPhone 5 armband, Great Case has launched their product on Amazon.com and about to hit the 3 month milestone with sales and reviews far exceeding their expectations.
"We care deeply about customer support," says Tiffany Paul, "and when I read one customer review the other day from a woman, I was truly humbled, it feels so good to put your heart and soul into something, and have feedback like that." So far Great Case have only received 5 star reviews and they are hopping it stays that way.
