Scott Cortland, Chief Marketing Officer of Nutrigift announced, "This partnership is going to decrease costs tremendously. Now, we don't have to ship the bottles over longer distances. Thus, we drive our costs down and we drive our average production time way down. This is a technique that is not new. Coca Cola and Pepsi have been using it for years. However, Nutrigift needed to increase in size before we could use the same strategy".
Nutrigift is conducting this initiative in hopes of driving down their costs as a result of better supply chain management. Cortland commented, "There are also talks of our manufacturing partner buying the logo printing company. We are looking forward to this, because it means even cheaper prices for Nutrigift customers. If our manufacturing partner buys the logo printing company, the manufacturer will not have to pay a markup every time they order our logos from the printer".
Nutrigift is also redesigning their logo and has already announced decreases in prices. Nutrigift hopes to further reduce prices as the demand for their yacon products increases. Cortland said, "A lot of exciting things are happening and all of our supply chain management projects are almost done. The end result will be cheaper pricing for all of our products. Our customers will win because our famous brand name products will be cheaper than ever. We will also be able to reduce the cost to our physical retail store partners. This helps them offer our products to their customers at cheaper prices also. It is been a challenge working all of the logistics out, but everything is almost done".
