Today Cheryl, the Founder of Featherstroke, explains the Powder Brush and its uses.
"This large fluffy brush is recommended for powdering regardless of whether the powder is pressed or loose. This soft luxurious synthetic hair brush spreads the product evenly over the face and the coat can be as light or heavy as desired. A Powder Brush is perfect for a natural look, because it allows application of the powder to skin much more lightly than with a puff.
If wearing foundation, loose powder can be used to set the foundation, making it last longer. The powder brush should be dipped into the powder and swirled rather than pressing hard which will result in too much powder clogging up the brush. The brush should be tapped gently on the side of the container to shake off excess powder, and then the powder brushed onto the face using light pressure.
A small circular motion should be used for the best possible coverage - starting at the jaw line and working into the nose area and then moving to the chin area and forehead. A small amount of powder should be applied to the neck area to create a natural, finished look."
